Close Thyroid Cancer
Type: Papillary CarcinomaAt the age of 24 I found a lump on my thyroid. The lump agressively grew within a short period of time. The doctor could not biopsy anything from the lump and decided on surgery to determine if the nodule was cancerous. March 2002 I had surgery and found that the cancer was on both by right and left sides of my thyroid. The entire thyroid was removed (including parathyroid). May 2002 I underwent iodine radiation.
Treatments
- Radiotherapy Working / Worked
- Synthroid Working / Worked
- I really have never felt the same since my thyroid cancer. Its seems as if something is always wrong or that no matter what dosage Im on I am tired. I have severe weight loss. However I successfully gave birth to a healthy baby girl last year. Had to practically double up on my dosage during the pregnancy. under doctors care

My daughter was born April 2007. It's very hard leaving her and my son (8) every day. I also want to raise an independent confident little girl. I don't want her to ever turn out like me. Looking to see what other parents experiences are with their toddlers.
