    • About Me

I am a positive 25yro man, who loves the outdoors and people. I am a student and am intrested in any one who has positive feed back for recovery. I belive that nothing is impossiable that we hold the key to healing it is just go after it and persevering the storm that will bring it into shape.

Hi, green12; unfortunately, you're just starting out with your recovery, I'm sorry to say. It's been 4 years for me and I'm still on that same road (recovery). Sometimes I feel like I'm someone else now, too, because of all the changes in me. Keep your chin up though. I promise it does get a little better. Have you totally recovered physically though? Are you walking, talking like you used to before? The best advice I can give you is to always try to look on the positive side; try to look at what you can do and not what you cannot.I learned this from reading this book authored by another stroke survivor. So far, his suggestions have helped me quite a bit. Look it up on the web and see if you can find a copy - it is called, "TakeBraveSteps" by Ron Gardner. That's how I got my copy and , since then, I've noticed a good change in my attitude towards life in general. Good luck!Take care of yourself. . .love, Pinay:)

Before my stroke i was a energetic athletic man. but last july I had a stroke that landed in the other direction. I had symptoms about a efore the stroke loss of emotion and spirit. Then for a week striaght I laid in bed. I found out months later after being told I was in a deep depression that I had a stroke. It affected my frontal lobe, I have memory problems, understanding people, and learning, needless to say I found a big progression in the last two months. huge improvments but not the same my will of iron will not let me accept my current condition as the best it is going to get. I still fell like I am going to make a full recovery.
