I am a 36 years old, live in Utah. I was born in RI,and grew up in New Hampshire my entire life. I went to college here, got married, and have the best son a mom could ask for- he is 12, and soccer is his passion. I work FT as a School Counselor When feel good-hike in the mountains, talk walks, or watch my son play soccer. For past 2 years, thought I was going crazy, guess always have had health issues,- bladder, stomach, etc..but things got scary the past 2 years. Just got DX!

Thanks so much! It is great (and sad) to know there are other people with this in Utah. How long have you had it? I will email you when I get a chance in the next few days. For now, this is as good of a forum as any. Who do you see for Lyme?

I hope you're feeling better these days. Did you know if you go to www.lymenet.com and look in the bottom part... join the flash discussion group you can ask for help finding a dr near you. The people there will always try. If there is something they know or someone they know about they will tell you.... good luck... it's awful when you can't find a doctor nearby to help you, but maybe there is one and you just don't know it yet.... :)

Hi, thanks for the hug! Sorry I took so long to get back to you..my husband & I went out of town for our 3 year anniversry & I left my pc at home. My doggie Peach is a wire haired Jack Russel Terrier & she really helps me when I'm in pain..its so much better going through daily pain with some company then the days before I got her when I suffered alone. Kitties are great companions too, I used to be all about cats until I got Peach..now its all jack russells. I once had 10 cats back when I was first diagnosed with Endometriosis in 2000..I had at least 4 kitties on my bed keeping me company. So how would you descibe your IC? Mine is moderate & it causes pain daily.. its total agony to drink anything which includes water on some days. As far as pain control goes, I have tried everything from the pain patch to Morphiene but nothing seems to take care of the "break through" pain. All the other meds had me sleeping my life away so I'm back to using Percocet when needed & when I'm at home I either lie down to rest or try my best to distract the pain by writing my songs or singing Karaoke. I hate being on the pain meds..I only use them when I have no other alternative. Maybe we can exchange ideas on how to deal with this terrible disease. Looking forward to hearing form you.. Close Lyme Disease
Recently diagnosed by a "lyme guy" in NH, I live in Utah, and think I am probably the only person in this state with lyme. Have been in denial, really want to talk, but don't know how to do this, perhaps because I am bad at following directions, and my hands hurt when I type. Please help me to find how to talk with others out there with Lyme, have some questions, stories, etc.. Have not started treatment yet, will call Dr. in a week to set exact dosage/type. Feel lost here in Utah..
