Hi,
Yes, It was over 10 yrs. ago since I was admitted in the Epilepsy Wing of the hospital & had the EEG Monitoring test. I first had the Vagus Nerve Stimulator. After having it for almost a year and it didn't help in controlliing the seizures. I was also told that I was a candidate in having the surgery and had a 90% chance of never having anothe seizure. On August 23,2009 will be 9 yrs. since I had the Brain Surgery. I can understand how you must be feeling especially since I felt the same way. It's normal for you to be scared. But it's worth it to have this test. to see if your a candidate in having the surgery. When I had the surgery , I have very few seizures and take alot less medication then I did before I had the surgery. Having the surgery helped in changing my life for the better.
