About Me
I love Chicago but there is still a part of me that loves the "breathing room" of more rural areas. I was born in rural Wisconsin (which describes most of the state). Moved to the suburbs of Chicago when I was quite young. Hated it - still hate the suburbs. Moved to Chicago in my early 20's. Stayed for 6 years and loved every minute of it. I am currently living in Lockport (one town over from where the sidewalk ends). I initially moved out here due to family circumstances but ended up staying. Some people would describe me as religious but I see myself as knowing the truth. I go to church because I believe that God is worthy of worship and praise not because I feel obligated to. I have a sarcastic sense of humor and love to joke around. I like to go out and have a good time, drink, and just have fun - but more often than not, I prefer to have friends over and hang out or play cards.

Reading, fishing, movies, decorating, playing with power tools and finding new and interesting ways to annoy my little sister. MUSIC: Country, Southern Gospel, Blues, Swing, 80's Big Band, Classical...I like most any music.

I read your thread. To give you some insight, don't be afraid to have children.I have three grown daughters who survived my madness, witnessing my psychotic episodes and all.We are very close and they have done well.Best of luck to you.

- Lithium Not Working
- Threw me into a Manic Episode with in days of starting it. Stopped shortly after.
- Trileptal Working / Worked
- Makes me kinda sleepy so I take it at night
- Zoloft Working / Worked
- Work wonders to keep my depression at bay.
- Trazodone Working / Worked
- I loved this drug but my dr won't let me take it anymore. It was great for helping me sleep without next day drowsiness - especially when I was manic
- Marijuana Working / Worked
- Has seriously calmed down the frequency of my manic episodes. I take it in self-measured doses and not just a toker that uses BP as an excuse to get high.
- Tattoos Working / Worked
- I have 3. It is a great way to express myself and immortalize important times in my life. A dermatological scrapbook, if you will - plus it makes me feel pretty ; )
- Effexor Not Working
- Took for three days. Stopped taking it because it kept me up all three days!
