I was diagnosed in July 05 with severe COPD. Fought this for a year and finally learned to live with it. Then along came diagnosis of Fibromyalgia and soon to follow two brain tumors revealed themselves. One meningioma and one low grade glial ...followups every 6 months. Some days typing is hard. Making sense and putting words together. But I keep on trucking! I raise a 16 year old son alone and this too keeps me going.

I like to do things that require no brain power now. I love making jewelry and have been blessed with a talent for silk floral design as well. I play a online computer game to keep sane, and love most in life to spend time with my son.

It was good to see you post on the board. It's good to see you back. How is the Acaii juice coming? I take it and reservetrol. They are both good antioxidants. Hope you are feeling much better. Gee your son should be nearing his senior year? Have a good week ahead!
Of course I remember you silly. YOU just had your sonn, and you were struggling along and then the tumors were found. That guy came to live with you to help you, but ended up draining your resources, but you always had a joke or something funny to say. I will always remember you! Hugs! JOAnn PS I am so glad you are still here with us!
Wow, I am so happy to see you back. I wondered what happened to you and in fact worried about the worst. So, Needless to say, I am delighted to see you posting here. Take care and God bless. Hope you will stick around now. Hugs! JOAnn

I was diagnosed with Very Severe COPD in 05, and told I needed to be on a transplant list because I am not old enough and didn't smoke enough to have it this bad. I recently went to Mayo clinic searching for answers and was just sent home with nothing but more meds. I sit in a chair all day because even taking a shower gets me winded. I also was told & treated for Hpylori which caused ulcer as well as a diaphragmatic hernia. But add the brain tumors and I forget it all!!
I have resisted this diagnosis for a year now..not sure why. I think I just don't need any more wrong with me. I have very severe copd with chronic pain. Have a awesome son, two dogs and just started on lexapro so things are looking up a little..
Back injury years ago left me having surgery removing my tailbone now I am just scar tissue wrapped around nerves. If I knew then what I know now.
