About Me
I am 38 years old, happily married to a wonderful supportive man, and have 2 beautiful boys, now 7 & 9. I worked as a Payroll Tax Consultant for years, and have not been able to work for almost 3 years now due to my illness. I am also a yoga instructor, which is truly my passion and keeps me going. I do not teach very much, but practice often and it brings me great peace.

I hope you are doing better! How are you doing emotionally? Have you talked with your doctor about it? I feel for you, that is no way to live life! I've experienced it before. I know if I wasn't taking anti-depressants right now, I would be crying alot. But of course my emotions are still wanting to come out and it's getting harder to control it!
Stay strong!!!

Support Groups
Close Lupus
I have been diagnosed with MS 3 years ago at age 35. I have 2 beautiful boys, now 7 & 9. I was recently diagnosed with SLE and put on Plaquenil. I am currently on IVIg therapy one day weekly, its a big committment, but I did not respond well to interferon and/or chemo drugs, so we are giving this a go. I would love to know if there is anyone else out there like me. I suffer with crippling fatigue, and alot of pain in my legs, deep throbbing, and also joint pain. I severely impacts my quality of life. any support would be appreciated.
Treatments
- Clinoril Considering
- I cant tell if it makes a difference or not.
- Effexor Working / Worked
- Klonopin Working / Worked
- Lyrica Somewhat Helpful
- it takes the edge off in my legs from the throbbing but its a suttle difference.
- Restasis Too Soon to Tell
- Plaquenil Too Soon to Tell
- Baclofen Somewhat Helpful
- helps quite a bit with spasms especially in my forearms from using my hands alot.

I have been on prednisone orally for almost 10 months, and my doctor has just started me on Imuran. I am also on Plaquenil, Lyrica and I undergo IVIg therapy ( immune globulin replacement therapy.
Treatments
- Plaquenil Somewhat Helpful
- 2 months into it and I am in a flare up a pretty tough one so its hard to know if its working. no side effects though which is good
