Happily Married for 15 years (together 22) Devoted Mom of 3 labrador kids (Dylan, Dayne & Angel Moose)and 2 piggies (Ariel & Delilah) living in the woods of Maine...Been diagnosed with Crohn's/colitis, Fibro, Chronic Fatigue, Osteo and RA, Raynauds, DDD, DJD, endometriosis PLUS...The past 15 years have been a nightmare I am finally waking up from...LDN is giving me new hope and a new outlook on the future...Happy to be here :)That pic is of my Gorgeous Dayne (12 year young yellow lab)and myself (just recovering from several brutal rounds in a hospital with a GI doc who 'knew it all'...I fought back for my life and this was the first pic taken of me with hair again...

Close Crohn's Disease & Ulcerative Colitis
UC diagnosed 1995 after using Motrin and Zoloft for a neck injury...Allergy to sulfa drugs forced me to use Asacol, which I had reactions to but my GI denied and said was exaserbation of the UC...Liar! Went 10 years with symptoms on and off along with added illnesses like Fibromyaliga, CFS, Osteo and RA, Raynauds, DJD, DDD, endometriosis and more...2006/07, GI gave me systemic infection, dvt's and a dianosis of Crohns, all to push Remicade...Now on LDN!!! Loving IT!
Treatments
- Asacol Not Working
- Adverse reaction yet GI claimed it was exaserbation of UC to get me to keep using...Muddy tarry black stools, headaches, slowed down GI tract to the point of 'death'.
- Avoid Certain Foods / Chemicals Working / Worked
- Had Sage delayed food testing done and eliminated beef, dairy and others, stopped bleeding in 13 days. Adhere to whole food diet, nothing packaged, nothing processed, no sodas, alcohol, smoking. Nothing that NATURE didn't intend to be ingested.
- Azathioprine Not Working
- Vomited first dose, terrified of lymphoma, would not entertain taking it again, ever!
- Colazal Somewhat Helpful
- Used after almost losing my life to a creepy GI who wouldn't look for the CAUSE of my illnesses but chose to medicate, having declined Remicade and others, I reluctantly chose Colazal...Also taking copious amounts of Omegas and pred, so not sure if it worked or not but continued without flare for several months, discontinued but flard again, used again, made me worse...
- Flagyl Not Working
- Nerve damage, hate it!!!
- Medrol Not Working
- 10 day IV, caused damage when mixed with Levaquin...Horrible!
- Prednisone Not Working
- HORRIBLE DRUG, no further comments needed!
- Probiotics Working / Worked
- No help, will attempt again in the near future
