About Me
I consider myself to be blessed in this life. I am the mother of 2 teenaged boys who are the light of my life. Married for 25 years. We live in the country with our 2 dogs, 2 cats and 2 horses. At age 40 I was crippled with Rheumatoid Arthritis but through persistance found my way back to an active, healthy life once more. Today I share with others my success fighting auto immune challenges.

Close Rheumatoid Arthritis
10 years living with RA. First 2 years was hell finding what worked for me. I found medication to be ineffective because of the side effects being so harsh and little pain reduction. Life style changes made all the difference for me and today I live actively again, with Rheumatoid Arthritis.
Treatments
- Celebrex Working / Worked
- Didn't help at all in the beginning but after about a month or 2 of use the celebrex was helping take the edge off the pain.
- Folic Acid Working / Worked
- This is a must with Methotrexate
- Methotrexate Not Working
- Took this for too short of a time to give a fair rating. I did the research and felt this medication was too toxic for me.
- Plaquenil Not Working
- I broke out in hives all over my body
- Prednisone Working / Worked
- I took cortizone shots, 7 in total and each time I was pain free for 28-30 days. Unfortunately my hips were being damaged from the cortizone and when this was brought to my attention I refused to continue on with treatment that was doing permanent damage.
