I am 47 year old cake decorator who got caught off gaurd by GBS. I used to workout daily eat well, not drink and generally behave myself when I came down with this scarey syndrome. i spent 9 weeks in the hospital, I'm out now, a lot better but still dealing with considerable pain. Hopefully with my loving husband, children and puppies by my side I pray that I can make a full recovery.

Thank you so much for your support, we do feel that we were very very lucky with Jessica, and we're so grateful for the care and support we received in the hospital. She was at LeBonheur Children's Hospital, and I honestly believe that if we had been anywhere else, we wouldn't have been so lucky. The medical team that worked with her was excellent, and I know with all my heart that we received a miracle that night. She was thisclose to a vent but the doctors said she was fighting it the whole way. It is frustrating, but we'll get through it. It does help though to know that there are others out there who suffered the same way. Do you have any suggestions for pain relief?

I came down with GBS in April of 08. 5 weeks in regular hospital,4 in Helen Hayes Rehab Hospital. Home now, still a lot of pain in my feet. I have braces for my feet and will be starting more rehab. I am mostly well, I just want to walk without pain.
