Close Dizziness & Vertigo
I have had BPPV for 46 years. At first the episodes were far apart, once 18 years apart. Now as I get older, I appear to be more vulnerable and I always have to be careful not to lay on my back and look up. I have to sit straight up at the dentist. It's very frustrating. Have had the Epley maneuver 3x, once by a Neurologist at UCLA, an expert in the field.
Treatments
- Antivert Not Working
- Didn't work
- Epley Maneuver Not Working
- Worked 1st time for 3 months as given by an ENT. He tried again, but it didn't stick. Once at UCLA
- Vestibular Exercises Not Working
- Did vestbular rehabilitation with a PT. Held for a short time.
Close Migraine Headaches
Have had 9-11 migraines a month for 20 years probably longer, but not diagnosed.
Treatments
- Aspirin Not Working
- Imitrex Working / Worked
- Always works within 2 hours.
- Maxalt Not Working
- Naproxen Somewhat Helpful
- Sometimes works, but not often enough to depend on it.
- Tylenol Not Working
- Timoptic Working / Worked
- Seems to help a little less headaches but I lowered the dosage to 12 i.e. 5 mg. 2xday because I didnt like the side effects. Was tired and it was harder to exercise.
