HI Everyone,
My name is Linda. I'm new here. I'm going through a difficult time with my husband of 29 years. I've known him for 32 years. He's like a different person! I don't know who he is anymore. He's in love with another woman at his work place, but he doesn't want to talk about it with me. I found all kinds of presents for her in his car along with very romantic greeting cards he would write to her.
I think the worst part is when I found he had changed his life insurance policy at work from my name into her name! That told me right there what was going on, even though they both say they are just good friends! Yeah, right!
He is a very bad communicator and I'm just the opposite of that. I like to discuss things and talk problems out to see if they can be fixed. Well, I just wanted to introduce myself. Ah, the similaities abound.... one thing I have definitely learned form my time here at DS is that our stories, altho different, each and every one, have some very common threads. Be sure to get out there on the boards so we can all get to know you!

Yes, Anne, I agree with you. Although our stories may be somewhat different in some ways, in other ways they're very much alike. I hope I'm posting in the right place and it's not going out in cyberspace somewhere!...LOL!

Oh Linda, our stories are very similar. It is so confusing to have someone you have known all those years, do a complete turn around. Mine was a bad communicator too, but I thought he was an honest person, but I suffered the same result as you. I have been separated over a year and the divorce was final in December. I tried to convince him to go with me to counseling, but like you said he had become a different person.
Post on the boards and continue to write in your journal. There are some great people here at DS and we will help you. Feel free to message me anytime! (((HUGS)))
