In every garden there stands a neglected dying flower

that no one notices or wants.

While her sisters proudly stand in knowledge that they

were chosen for their beauty and fragrances.

Since they had been carefully tended for.

Alone with no leaves, she bares the burden of the world,

but not to ever venture out of the garden

to experience life.

Never blooming, nor feeling the warm brilliant sunlight

on her face and petals.

As a last resort she sends her roots ever-searching

around every rock and crevice for

a last drop of hope.
