Hi Everyone; My name is Nancy and I was dianosed with Cihrosis of the liver December 2007. Things were getting worse, so my Dr. here, sent me to the Mayo Clinic. They ended up doing a kidney biopsy due to concerned symptoms. I was then diagnosed with Lupus, stage 4, in April of 2008. (I'm making this story very short, so some info. is left out.) I was put on several meds. including Prednizone and Cellcept. I developed Diabetes as a result of the meds. I am now on 17 meds. plus 2 Insulins. Some things have improved but others have not. The one thng that has, is that I have more energy. I had aboslutely none before the meds. I am able to work. (I'm a teacher.) I do have side affects which are unpleasant, but it's better than the pain I was experiencing, which stopped me cold. I have been reading all your posts and have just been a listener. I like to absorb things for a while. I must say, you are all incredible people and you need to believe you were given this seemingly impossible task to be a wonderful example of bravery and faith. There's always someone who is asked to give more and some less. I thought I felt bad until I read some of your experiences with this and other diseases. Somehow, we need to believe we are the leaders of perserverence and endrance. Wow, what a job. if God's keeping us around, he must believe we can do it. (That's if you have that belief.) I'm one that does. It's what gets me through. Thank you all for your strength! That's getting me through, too.

I love my job; Teaching. I love traveling and antiquing. I have 2 grandchildren who live with my husband and me and I adore them. I love to read and go to sunsets at the beach. I live in the perfect place for that.
