on Friday I started to cook food in the microwave. A couple of minutes into cooking the smoke alarm sounded and the kitchen was covered in thick grey smoke. I managed to call the fire briggade and open the door. I was found by the firemen in a seizure which lasted they said for 8 minutes. I was taken to hospital and had a further seizure for 2 minutes. I think this time the smell of the smoke in the back of my throat triggered the seizures. I am glad I had a smoke alarm as it saved my life.
