I did get that holiday cook out done and helped straighten up the back porch, cleaned up the playground for the children and made all new recipes for the meal :) It is such a good feeling to have a day when I can have the energy and stamina to get so much done. Most days I have to MAKE myself get just two things done around the house that need to be done. Once the meal was ready (the kids had been fed prior to the adults) everyone was ready to sit down and eat but the kids (3 and 1 1/2 years old) were ready to play outside again! To give my son and his wife and my husband too, time to enjoy all the good food and a quite meal I took the kids outside and played with them.....watching them slide and climb and blow bubbles!! That's better than eating any day :) Baths and a movie were next while our daughter-in-law and my husband did most of the kitchen clean up....when they left about 9 pm I collapsed in my chair and did go right to sleep....but these are the days I live for now.....I miss my career and traveling and all that went with it but I have slowly learned over the last six years to forget about the day I suddenly hit the brick wall and became sick with PF and have learned to enjoy being at home everyday, helping others and having the time to really enjoy our family.
It is now Tuesday and I spent more time outside yesterday planting some flowers and beans, etc. then fell right to sleep afterwards.....it is good to have had two nights in a row where the pain or shortness of breath didn't keep me awake all night. Today I go to another doctor appointment....I hate all these doctor appts....but that's life once we get a chronic illness....I just look at it as an opportunity to tell how well we are doing that day. Gotta run....
