    • About Me

mom of 4. homeschooling 1 of 4. others are graduated. married for 25 yrs, mostly rocky times. have lived in/outta depression for way too many years and now have breast cancer, which I am fighting with all that I am! I left the depression info "as is" to show how down I was w/ it. Then the cancer showed up and I've become very positve and for the most part really upbeat which is so not me. Higher power definitely in charge of all of this. He is my guiding source that pushes me forward as He looks down from above!

Hey Robin, Where have you been? I hope you are okay. Chris

    • Gold Star

      From Belcat September 11

      Hi, there, Robin.
How often does a teacher get a gold star?
I recall that, in grade school, our teachers put stars on our foreheads if we did well at something that day. We also got them on our report cards.
Mi is Michigan, right? Is it cold there? Seems to me I saw that it is to be a colder than normal winter in that area.
I thought we might have a bad winter, since summer was not to be found here. Fine with me. Temps in the high 60s, low 70s were fine with a lot of us. There were some folks blame the cool summer for the tomato blight, though.
      Well, you take care,
      Bertha

    • Close Depression

in and out of depression at varying levels for the past 30 years.

      Treatments

      Lexapro Not Working
didn't work. even when doubled script. gained 20 lbs. that really helped the depression, NOT!
      Meditation Considering
Would love to. but that'd involve 2 mins of "me" time a day that I'm not afforded.
      Paxil Not Working
refused. dr. din't recommend due to increase in depression due to weight increase from lexapro. was offered to take paxil and gain 40 MORE pounds. I said no thank you!
      Positive Thinking Not Working
Not in my world. If I get a few "happy thoughts" a day I feel terribly blessed and they're short lived. They come from my daughter. She is my sunshine in a world full of storms.
      Psychotherapy Not Working
was told to leave my living situation. grab my daughter and get out. get out how? and where?
Support from Friends & Family Not Working
family situation increases depression. not an outlet for relieving it.
      Writing Somewhat Helpful
helps to write it down. doesn't make it better, doesn't pave ways to sunshiny days. but at least clears a lil room in my head for more garbage.
      Zoloft Not Working
Allergic reaction. Itching, hives, difficulty breathing
