I'm 27 years old and I lost my vision over the course of the last 2 years. Since I was a child, I had a tumor (non-cancerous) on my optic nerves. The tumor squeezed my right optic nerve so tight that I lost vision in my right eye. I was blind in one eye as long as I can remember. A few years ago, I had radiation done on the tumor to make it stop growing and the radiation damaged my working optic nerve in my left eye. Gradually my sight got worse and worse. I now only see a little bit of light and that's it. It's been tough to take but I've managed to keep my spirits up most of the time.
