Too many irons in the fire
Well, these past two weeks have been full of "lets see just how much stuff can we cram into a weekend and/or week?" and it has finally …
I was diagnosed with Graves Disease in 1994; had RAI in 1996 so now I'm hypo. I have a husband who is not very understanding regarding all the aches and pains, heart troubles, migraines, etc., because he is so bloody healthy (not a bad thing in and of itself though), but it does make it hard for him to understand my dilemma. I don't complain much but some times you just have too, yanno? It is a very annoying disease but I suppose it could be worse. My two Shih-tzus and Standard Poodle calm me down when I get too distressed by it all.

I love to knit, crochet, read, RV, golf (although badly), and take care of our dogs. They are our kids. Kids are grown and out of the house, and enjoy our three grandchildren.

Hi Mare, thank you for having me as a friend. I'm feeling quite well thanks but I noticed my evil side is still there. I had a little fuss with our maintenance man about a garbage disposal gasget of all things. I told him sorry and started to explain why I acted so badly but then thought, what the heck, he won't understand what GD is so forget it. I hope you are doing well too. Thanks again and hugs, Pat
I will do that,
you hang in there as well

Thank you, I do hope you are feeling better.
I was diagnosed with GD in 1995 and it my physician's recommendation that I have RAI, which I did in October 1996. Now I am on medication for the rest of my days. I have experienced a great many of the symptoms of Graves (even when my levels are fairly normal), but I believe a new one has reared it's ugly head. Depression. I'd like to say I just have the "blues" but I believe it's more than that. Anyone else out there with GD and depression? Thx, Mare
