  Hi, I'm in Georgia too, I live in Loganville, which is just east of Atlanta, kind of between Atlanta and Athens. I cant believe your PM Dr would dismiss you with a letter from the Dr that did your surgery. I would go to the office with the letter and ask to speak to that Dr in person and ask what is the problem, and for him to call the Surgeon. You did everything right, telling them in the ER you have a PM Dr and what meds you take. If you lived closer to Lawrenceville I would refer you to the PM clinic I go to, they are awsome - my Dr is so kind and understanding. Methadone is great for pain, I've been taking it for 8yrs, also Percocet. Methadone clinics treat mostly heroin addicts, and give them liquid methadone. In my opinion thats probably not a good idea. I'm so sorry this happened to you, I'll check around and see if I can find a good PM Dr closer to you. Hugs, Bonnie
