      45 year old male,bilateral below-knee amputee for past 4 plus yrs,independent, no walking aids.however chronic skin breakdown.

      Treatments

      Physical Therapy Working / Worked
      Prosthetic Device Working / Worked

    • Close Diabetes Type 1

      Treatments

      Insulin (Regular and NPH) Working / Worked
      NovoLog Working / Worked

    • Open Meningitis

      Had bacterial meningitis in April 2004. Also blood sepsis and c-difficile while on antibiotics. Almost died was in ICU for 10 days and hospital for 10 weeks. As a result , had to amputate both legs below the knee. went to rehab and learned to walk with prosthesis. DEADLY disease as it hit me over nite. My prayers go out to anyone in similar situations
