May God bless you and keep you in perfect peace. My name is Allison and I am from Barbados. God is a big God and he can heal your husband if you trust Him and believe in His healing power. Here are some encouraging healing bible verses to uplift you. Remember, faith moves mountains and you can get through anything in the name of Jesus.

      John 3:16
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

      Exodus 23:25
And ye shall serve the LORD your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee.

      Psalms 6:2
Have mercy upon me, O LORD; for I am weak: O LORD, heal me; for my bones are vexed.

      Psalm 103:3-4
Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies.

      Isaiah 53:5
But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

      Matthew 4:23
And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.

      Jeremiah 17:14
Heal me, O LORD, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved: for thou art my praise.

      Matthew 8:14-17
And when Jesus was come into Peter's house, he saw his wife's mother laid, and sick of a fever. And he touched her hand, and the fever left her: and she arose, and ministered unto them. When the even was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with his word, and healed all that were sick: That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses.

We're still figuring this out too. My husband was dx 4/28/09. He's keeping an upbeat attitude. It's hard because after we got home that night & started to catch our breath on this, my 17 yr daughter committed suicide next door at my mothers. We have a combination of depression on both ends & we're just getting by hour by hour. Good luck to you & him. Vicki

    • Close Organ Transplants
      Types: Heart

My husband & I are in our 40's and he received a heart transplant almost 8 years ago. We are looking to connect with other transplants, just to have someone to share the ups and downs with.

      Treatments

      Cellcept Working / Worked
      Cyclosporine Working / Worked
    • Close Head and Neck cancers

My husband was just diagnosed with Throat Cancer. He had a heart transplant 8 years ago and is doing well from that, we are just looking for others with this type of cancer so we may have an idea of what to expect. Surgery and chemo are not options because of the immunosuppressents he is on. Dr's are looking at 7 weeks of radiation therapy 5x's a week - 1 or 2x's daily. Please let us know what to expect as far as side effects. A feeding tube will also be inserted, as we were told his throat will be to sore to swallow.

    • Open Caregivers

My husband is 45 and received a heart transplant 8 years ago, just finished radiation treatment for throat cancer and suffers from PSDS and Bipolar disorder. I have my hands full. I know he is ill, and I work hard to support him emotionally and physically, but I'm having a difficult time dealing with his mood swings, anger, resentment that I'm healthy, etc. I've been doing it all and I'm burning out. How do other caregivers deal with this?
