Good Morning Everybody!! Hope all is well with you. Last night we had the CYAA football and Cheerleading meeting. It went well except some discussion about weather to place the names on the torphys. The vote agreed that we would put the names on. I was glad as I voted for the names. It would be only $200 more for all the trophys and would mean so much to the kids. It will also go a long way in getting kids to sign up. Plus we have $11,000 in the bank right now, although having a league is soo expensive. You wouldn't believe what just an ambulance service costs.
Talking about sports, Nick starts basketball pracice today. It is from 4-5:30 Tuesdays and Thursdays. I am sure that he will enjoy it. His friend Tyler plays too, so he will take Nick to practice.
Also more sports. The Steeler's won!! Bob stayed up for the whole game and Nick and I stayed up later than normal. We did go up an read at 9:40.
Nick started a new book, a Magic Treehouse book and a I still plugging away on my book called "September". We just read for 15 minutes as Nick was tired. I already renewed it once and I am not halfway through. I should read more during the day, but I feel guilty about what is not getting done. Also I am reading "1-2-3 Magic" I haven't got far on that book either. It is a parenting book that looks really good from what I have read so far.
I don't know if I am going to Nick's practice or not. IT would be fun to watch him play but also that means we wouldn't eat dinner until late. When Bob calls I will ask him what he thinks. The more I think of it the more I would like to go.
My mom talked to my cousin Barbara and she is having trouble talking about her Breast Cancer. She said that it was even hard to talk to her mom and dad. They are flying from Sitka, Alaska to Oregan to be with her for her operation. Her husband will be ther of course too. She is going to have a double masectomy on the 16th. They are going to put a port in, which I think is a very good idea. I am thankful I got my port put in myself. I watch as others struggle with an IV, having to warm there arm first to open up the veins. So I think she made a wise choice. She is also worried about loosing her hair. I don't know what her chemo will be yet. Is the chemo choice different than Ovarian Cancer?
For myself I am counting down the days until I foind out if the Avastin is working. I have my blood test on Thrus and my Office Visit and Treatment on Friday. Also on Friday at 8:30, my Aunt Toni is offering up a Mass of Intentions for me. She is a wonderful, wonderful woman. My mom and I are going to go. Then she is going to take me out for breakfast and then to the appointment. oh and Thurs I have a Dr James Appointment. He is my PCP. It is right after my blood test which is convenient.
Sunday we are going to the Gaint Eagle Market District, which is the largest Grocery Store in Western PA. My mom is taking Nick and I after Church. That should be fun.
This morning after my computer time I am going to read my Bible. I am in the middle of Mark. Then dishes and finish the livingroom. Boy I need to dust too. A never ending cycle of keeping things clean. But I have to take advantage of the good days.
Well I am going to read some journals and give some hugs and see if I have anything intresting on my email. I hope you all have a wonderful day!! Love and Hugs - Julie
