Over the Hump Day Mood
Wednesday, November 4, 2009

Good Morning Everybody!! Hope you are all well. It is chillier today than yesterday. My neighbor gave my son and her son and neice a ride to the school as it was only 32 degrees this morning. He wore a long sleeve shirt and his warm down jacket.

My mom goes for her follow-up appointment for her Cataric Surgery. I hope all is well.

Today is paperwork day. I am going to get washed up and then right into it while I have the momentem. I want to get the whole table cleaned off so I can put on my new apple motif tablecloth. It was on sale at Kmart and I bought it when I go Nick's costume. I debated on to get the pumpkin, the falling leaves or the apple. I picked the appple becasue it can be used year round and it matches the apple motif of my kitchen.

Not much else going on. A new Giant Eagle grocery store is opening up in Robinson where Bob works. They have all kinds of specials, like coffee for $4.99 and snow claw crab clusters for $3.99 a lb. Plus they have demonstrations and food samples. Giant Eagle is a top quality store, but of course they don't have a good prices, so there is always the trade off. They have a lot of speciality items from all over the world and lots of organic choices. They also have fuel perks that the amount of food you buy takes off money at the pump.

Tonight we are having sweet sausage on buns from the food pantry and broccoli. This is another reason I am gathering my bills toegther because it might put me over and I could go to the food pantry.

Nick is well. We both seem over our cough. Bob's leg is healing nicely and he doesn't have to go back until 2 weeks. Last night was Nick's therapy appointment. We talked about, amoung other things, how Nick misses playing physical games with me outside like we used to. With the Nafrostomy Bag, I am limited to certain physcial activity. But we discussed other ways to play together, like board games, reading together, cooking together and just talking. It will be nice when the tumor shrinks and I can go back to all the fun things we used to do.

Well I am going to get washed up and begin my project. I hope all of you have a wonderful Wednesday!! Love and Hugs form PA!! - Julie

Julie, Your positive attitude is so inspiring to me! I wish, for just once, I could be sitting there with you and really talking! I love the idea of the apple motif in the kitchen. In our new home the folks left almost all of the decorative items.
My SIL said, I hope that you like Roosters in the Kitchen. Actually, that will be nice...a reminder of my farm that I had to leave behind!
Nick sounds like such a special young man. I like that he's got the opportunity to have therapy sessions to help him understand both what changes have happened to him and to you...dealing with this dang Cancer.
Another thing we seem to have in common is a love of supermarkets! When I visit a new place, the supermarket is usually one of my first "sight seeing" trip! ha ha.
well, time to get some lunch. Not too hungry, but I know I should have something in my tummy.
    hugs, lindamae
