My name is Julie and I am 39 years old. I am currently a homemaker, but I have a history in Computer Graphic Arts. I am currently on disability. In Nov. 2006 I was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer and I finished Chemo October 2007. I am back on 6 rounds of chemo since th OVCA came back. My CA125 numbers are down, but staying on chemo has ben hard becasue of my blood count. I just recently came out of a deep depression when I was away fro DS, but I am feeling much better now. I am married with a son, Nicholas. I enjoy reading and art and playing with my son.

Hi Julie, Just to let you know that you are constantly in my prayers. I know kharker (Kathy) recently had trouble with a high CA125 but now I belielve it's going down. She's on a different chemo combination than you are but at least you know there are other options. It does sound as though your doctors are giving you good encouragement and close attention. You've got such good determination that I expect things will improve before long. I have always thought that those of us who are fighters have an advantage over those who just get frightened and throw up their hands. I hope you are feeling well today. Much love, Janet
Dear Julie, I know how disappointed you must be with the CA results. But keepin mind there are so many things that can make it go up. Also I have heard that it can do that before it goes down. It is like the cancer cells are putting up there last fight. You will beat this thing Julie. I know you will. I am glad you are going to your therapist this week. I am almost 40 years old and found out I have stage 3C Ovarian cancer in Nov of 2006. I had surgery and had a full hystro.. I was in remission for a few months, but then my CA 125 count rose to almost 100 and my CT scan came up that the OVCA had returned.I tried Gemzar and Doxil with little results. Had surgery in June and was in the hospital for 9 days. I have a 1/2 inch tumor on my bladdern. Radation and then Chemo and if my insurance allows, Avastin, possible for life.
