About Me
I am a quiet person who loves my family and my animals. I have a small horse boarding facility and own 8 horses of my own. They are my dream and give me much healing. I love to listen to music and to read...I also paint...maybe not great but I try. I have three children one only living at home now. My health has drained me and I feel as if I need support now. I have had this (lupus) since I was 24. I have fought it for many years and this last 3 years it has attacked my lungs and stomach and biliary tree...I know weird spot isn't it...Thank you

Little Love
You hang in there. I guess I have had Lupas for ovver 27 years and didnt even know it till I ended up in the hospital for a long time. Both of our kids have their own places and its me and the fat cat and little bichon dog. My babies now. I wish we could meet so i can give you a real warm hug. I have a feeling you live a long ways from me. Do you have a web cam so we can really talk? I would love to get to know you. i understand the pain and frustration and the trails. I am 40 years old and have been fighting lupus since I was 24. I have had a couple of bad years and my hubby bought me this lap top to reach out and learn about this disorder. I would love to meet some people that are maybe going thru the same things.
Treatments
- Celebrex Not Working
- didn't work much...had allergic reaction the second time they put me on it.
- Methotrexate Somewhat Helpful
- Works..hate the drug..had a lot of issues on drug. Makes me more tired and hair loss plus more mouth sores. Then I started having problems with my lungs and they took me off it.
- Plaquenil Not Working
- Caused eye problems after about a year on.
- Prednisone Working / Worked
- It works...hate the weight gain which isn't helpful on my joints. Am only put on now when I get real bad.
Close Chronic Pain
I am 40 and have been fighting lupus since I was 24. I have had pain tho since I was in my teens due to horse and car accidents. Now my lupus has also attacked my pancreas and I have mostly constant pain somewhere in my body..if not my stomach. My spine is bad from degeneration and have started getting neuropathy also in my feet. Which have been pinned back together due to the joints are shot in them...UGH!!! I need to quit...this is depressing to list!!!

- helped with my back between shoulder blades...looking at having done with my pancreas also
- Oxycodone Working / Worked
- VERY ALLERGIC!!!!
- Topamax Working / Worked
- Use for my lupus headaches/ helps but makes me feel more foggy and tired
