Well, its been a week now since my surgery and I had my broken nose and sinses fixed. They messed up my regular meds and didn't give me the correct amount of pain killers. After I left I had to go to the emergecy room because I was going through withdrawal for my other meds, argh! Then they gave me antibotics that I am allergic to. It has been a real bummer for this, seems like one thing after another.
I got out some of my packing in my nose and just the other day I got out my splints and I still have packing up there so no smelling or tasting, but at least I'm still loosing weight! It helps when you can't taste or smell anything, LOL.
So one week down and I can blow my nose only lightly, giggles, I look like a racoon. They said I wasn't suppose to do that but they found some things wrong inside my sinses and fixed that too so with all the extra stuff they found to fix I get to look like a rascal. At least they did this before we are going to the lower 48 the beginning of Oct. it was a very fast set up for the operation and it takes 4 weeks to heal up enough for travel. So we are just at the wire for our vacation.
Hopefully, I will now be able to breathe through my nose and the cold will not be so hard on me here in Alaska. The Doc says this should help for the allergy times too. So I'm hopeful that soon I will be able to breathe and do stuff in the cold! Hurray!
Well, I'm finally going to get my nose fixed and all the stuff in that area fixed too. I broke my nose a lot of years ago, kids, LOL. So I haven't been able to breathe right for years and when it gets cold or allergy season I have to breath through my mouth or feel like I'm drowning (which is awful cause I did drown once and freaks me out!).
So at the end of this month I go under the knife and have the whole area fixed! I'm praying that it will really help and it will make it easier to sleep and just move without feeling like a fish out of water. With all the smoke we had this year it was terrible to breathe and at least that is over now. With well over 2.4 million acers burned it was a bad year for fire!
I'm down over 50 lbs now, bummer I never realized I was so heavy. Our scale was so far off that I didn't realize I was 20 pounds more then I realized! So at least when we did get a new scale I was down to where I thought I was when I started! I never thought I would let myself get that big again and here I was that size and didn't realize it. But at least I continue to lose weight and one to two pounds a week is pretty good for a person who can't really excerise, every little bit helps in the movement department.
So now with all the rain my fibro is upset again, blah! What can I say, blah. So I haven't had a migraine since june! I got of my RLS meds and haven't had one since! Sheesh to think it was that pill and they even had me up it for sleeping, argh! I'm glad I took myself off of it and the RLS hasn't been to bad! So I can deal with the creapy crawlies to get rid of the migraines and perhaps I can have a cup of coffee from time to time or a piece of chocolate ( I gave those up for my migraines) Who knows. So nice to not have migraines anymore! Well, see how the weather changes effect it, but I'm hopeful that all will be well.
I guess I'm not going to be a Grandma. Things didn't work out and now son and gal have gone their separate ways. Other son is doing well and wife and son and working and trying to move up here from Anchorage. Buy a house and then maybe have a kid or two. Sounds nice that they are trying to get a house, the housing market up here is still going strong and over priced. Wish we had some deals here like the lower 48 for the kids. I always wanted to own a renter property but just to much money and probably to much work too.
Well, take care people and I hope your summer is fun, we are just about over with summer and the plants are changing and we have had our frost already, so winter up in Alaska is just around the corner! HUGS
I'm about to head to the Dr. on tuesday. I have been trying to get a new Dr. here in town but they turned me down and I could never get ahold of them any way. so all the better to keep the military dr for now and see if we get any new drs. here in town. I have been having some problems with my hands and legs. Tingling and pins and needles not sure what that is all about and now the tip of my nose is tingling and blurry vision as well. I want a doctor who cares and wants to find out what is going on with me as much as I do. I still wonder if I really have fibro or if it is something else and the dr who told me I have it is dead. So can't go there anymore.

I hope you can get a Dr that will listen then respond. So many times they only hear one thing you say and ignore the rest. I have been doing fairly well with the FM but I sure have been having horrible leg cramps. It always seems you get one thing cleared up and something new starts. Hang in there and I will be praying for you to find some relief. Hugs. Marik
