    I am a 45 year old single mom, 3 kids, middle daughther has Downs. I was diagnosed with RA in Feb 2007. My oldest son just moved out so its just me and my girls. Like my daugther would say girls rule!

    Interests

    Reading, scrapbooking, redoing rooms in my home, my girls various hobbies and sports. And of course my pets.

    • Close Rheumatoid Arthritis

      Its been 6 months now since being diagnosed with RA. My meds are working pretty good. Not really any pain just stiffness in my knees depending on the day and weather. I am off the prednisone but I had gained back the 30 lbs I lost last fall which I think pisses me off more than having RA (smile). I just wish I wasn't so tired and had more energy to do a regular exercise routine to lose the weight again.

      Treatments

      Methotrexate Working / Worked
      Emu Oil Working / Worked
      Hard to tell if it is the oil that is working but when I use it I feel better. Can't hurt.

    • Close Down Syndrome

      Hannah is a typical 16 year old teenager going on 30. Can't grow up fast enough. She is my middle kid and at times drives me crazy lol. I am a single mom just diagnosed with Rhuematoid Arthritus and Hannah is my biggest helper and supporter. I wouldn't know what to do without her.

      My daughter Hannah has HS. She got it when she started puberty at 13. She also has down's.

      I have two daughters, one is 17 with Down syndrome and the other is 14 1/2. The 14 year old is the one that is driving me crazy. Whatever I say she says the opposite and of course I am always wrong. LOL. Lord just let me get through her teenage years.
