  Pokey1, Comments like yours are what keeps my head above the water when I feel like I’m sinking. Thank you ? …Yes, even you tough truck drivers have to cry! LOL Don’t hold back your tears! Crying is therapeutic. …But there are some VERY important things your daughter MUST know now that she has been officially diagnosed: 1. Narcolepsy is recognized by our government as a disability. Her rights are protected under the American with Disabilities ACT (ADA), so for example, she cannot lose her job because of her N. However, there are steps that she must follow if she ever finds herself in a position where she needs to take action against, for example, an employer who terminates her for having N, or who won’t make reasonable accommodations for her. (Please research the federal gov’t website for more info!) …More later. I’m at work right now. …Wow, your daughter is very fortunate to have a parent who is so concerned! Good luck to both of you.
