Just a journal update..I found out when my surgery date will be. October 14th is the day! It will be at Roanoke Memorial Hospital in Roanoke, VA. The hospital is great - saved my mother in law after her heart attack. I feel very comfortable with my doctor, he has been blunt that they may not get an exact correction down to 0, but is very optimistic that the curve will be only between 10-30 degrees max after correction. Each day that goes by is making me a little more nervous, but I have to realize that if I don't have the surgery the scoliosis will continue to get worse and I will have more problems to deal with later. I am still really concerned with the pain afterwards and if I can handle it. I do think that if I can handle having a 9lb 14oz baby after epidural didnt work correctly (and felt every part of it) that I can handle this surgery pain. Will update more after I go for the physical and before pics.
