  I had back surgery in 1986 back then all dr's thought they were Gods, and I worked with over 80 of them at the time. You did just what they said. No offense to Dr. Jeremy He still is, lol, but I have learned alot since then. You probably did have a cortisone shot, I am allergic to so many things that I ask even when they have all my allergy's listed, because I can have new reactions to things I never was allergic to before. But don't feel dumb at all anyone that says your stupid for trusting has been there done that before so they should know better.

  I think the key thing to look for at this point is the child's ability to relate to other children: my heart broke the first time I picked him up from nursery school and he was no where to be found: THEN we noticed he was on the other side of the property running around in a circle by himself under a big tree. The way my heart sank tended to become a repetitive thing. It's still hard to talk about. I don't want to see you go through the same thing, the odds are with you on this one. Just get to the best professional, someone independent of his school sytem, for a skilled psychological evaluation including testing of his body chemistries. I would think nothing of flying somewhere for a day to the best teaching medical facility that you can find. You will not be like me, because you have someone to confide your fears to: ME!!   I took valium (early on more than later) and a nausea medication beginning with a 'b'...it was white and also gave you vitamins...I took it for a really long time as I was sick until the 7th month...It haunts me, and talk about guilt! I guess we will never know the answer for sure! Sorry you have to carry the same, awful, burden! Have a good one!

  Hi. I have fallowed some of your posts since before your surgery, and today saw your x-ray and all I can think is WOW! My heart certainly goes out to you. I have always had back pain, but when I was your age I was still able to do most anything. When I hear from others that have back problems at a young age I realize how blessed I am to have been as active as I was. I so hope you continue to heal and the surgey make your life better.   I'm totally not in the spirit, I've tried but pain has tainted everything... I'm going to try hard for my mom though, it's the first year without my grandma, the rock of your family, so I'm going to try very hard for my mom... I'm glad you are getting in the spirit! I hope you have an awesome holiday and I hope that Santa brings many low pain days for you!!! What levels did you have fused? From your picture, it looks like a lot!!!
