  I hope things are a little better for you. I know it's been rough. My 13 year old daughter is having her surgery next week and I am freaking out. I had it myself too. So I understand what you and she are going through. BIG BIG BIG (gentle) hugs to you today Tania.

  Hi there my dear, I've been on the phone most of the day with tech. help (1st time in about a year) - I'm now loosing record of the replies sent (?) - don't know if I answered. Looks like more list making: memory is already bad. Hang in there & keep sticking up for yourself - some folk just cannot help themselves, and at my age I feel it's important to encourage people to do that - I didn[''t when I was younger. Yesterday I hand a very old freind phone me - she's 5 min. away babysitting her 12 yr.old grand.I couldn't go - I am not driving when I could get a migraine & be unable to see properly. I told her - (didn't get a word of empathy). So I asked her if she could call in on the way home, I'd like to see her - no she couldn't (she lives 17 miles away, and works in a school, so I don't see her really.) because she's leaving at 5.30. I felt like saying - "LIsten mate, it's doesn't get dark here until about 9pm - surely an extra 10 min. isn't going to matter" - I didn't, because she's got a hubby with severe mental illness, & I think she's depressed - she's out of touch with reality a lot of the time.Then she's years older than me. I wrote the whole story to a dear friend here on DS - first time I've ever had a moan about a friend, but I know she'll understand. I've been 9in pain with my scoliosis for years & years, but I don't moan about it all the time - it's so bad I look really crooked now: that's happened in 2 years. That is the result of parental neglect to be honest - Family Dr. told Mum when he was setting my broken wrist - I was 11 years old. She had MS, and wasn't coping herself - by the time it was worrying me, I was nearly 60, and the Spec.Medic I saw doesn't operate on backs - I'd have to go inter-state. To be honest, I'm too afraid now. I know all about paraplegia - Mum finished up and Quadraplegic, and my sister was on the way, but she died young. So I guess I was the lucky one in that sense. Random thoughts of an aged Person!!!!! Take care, JaneD.,

  Can you get your daughter into a group of african american children like Boys and Girls club or Jack and Jill - that will help with their social issues and self-esteem. Good luck.

  positive thoughts have such a huge play on how we handle our lives. Smile at someone and they will return it. laugh at something silly, hug your kids, know that even though we are in pain there has to be an acceptance.. once the acceptance is there we dont suffer so much emotionally as well as the physical :)
