My husband never had one and I'm surprised he wants to get one. Maybe you can work on your husband he may change his mind. See if he wants to get one with you. I think it is kind of cool. Merry Christmas to you also.

That is so funny, and how cool you and your mother. That is neat. I'm a wimp to but I had 3 kids and if my kids can do it darn it I can, lol. I went with my daughter we were suppose to get our nose pierced together. When I saw them do my daughters I chickened out. They took a big pincher thing, grabbed her nose and put a huge needle threw it. My anxiety started and no way I could do it. If they use a gun like we have our ears pierced I would be okay. I hope you have a merry christmas.

That is cool so who decorates the best wins a certificate? Good luck, do your best. I'm getting reay almost done shopping. My problem is I feel I never have enough. I see more and more items and keep buying. My kids should have a pretty good christmas. I have a 27 inch flat screen on layway for my girls bedroom, then I got a 35mm camera for my youngest as I bought her one for her birthday but it got broken. She has a american girl doll coming and a outfit. I bought other odds and ends. I hope everyone is happy, if not I did my best. My husband and I are going to get our first tatoo together for our gift from one another. I think it is cool and I love tatoos, my girls have one and I don't, lol.

It is hard to live with ocd, mine is getting better as I'm getting older. I have my days like anybody else. Mine is cleaning, and I went out last night and had a house full, my house is destroyed. I will have to get it cleaned. I have my grandson and he is a whiner this morning, he has been up to early and me to. I hope your headaches go away and i hope the med works for you. Your husband seems pretty dedicated so what a great trooper he is. Are you getting ready for christmas?

I'm glad you found a relationship with your father. Alot of young people are in your postion. That is nice for him to help you and I agree with the budget. After the holidays I have to do the same. Their are going to be changes in my life so finances are going to be harder. My husband is going to get a apartment with our daughter. I have a special needs daughter and its getting to hard on everyone. We love eachother, but we can't get along. We all have issues in life or financially. We were there the ringer about 2 years age and it still is haunting us. I'm glad things are looking up and things will work out. Keep good spirits. Kelly

I hope I didn't come across to "smart assed". We are in debt to our eyeballs ourselfs with credti cards. We took out a second mortgage to pay them off and then did the same thing again. We have finally learned though. Now we live like hermits and don't buy anything we don't HAVE TO HAVE. Hope you have a good Christmas also.

  • Get Well Soon!

    JaneD (12/13/08)

Hello there, I can see why you are concerned re. your friend - she's burning ther cndle at both ends - do hope she's very soon finished! I did a similar thing for 3 years (no kids, but invalid, & cranky mother). First 2 years I did 7 subjects. last year I was doing 2 majors, & health just collapsed! I was given Supplementary Exams, but still not well enough to take them. I did last B.A. subject the next year, & decided I couldn't cope with new husband ( who seemed very neurotic - I was so innocent) - so chucked the Law Degree. In the 60's and 70's. shrinks would not tell family what was wrong with the relative who was sick - all I got was the bleeding obvious "He's got depression" - when it swung the next year into raving mania, I couldn't cope -he thought he was fine -got v.v.paranoid: I just left. Sister tells me they finally told him in late 80's! - of course, his ever loving Mother (whom I'd always treated well - as our generation were taught to respect elders), who was very neurotic, was the carrier of the gene. And she knew alright! She went into a complete fit if there was any question of his being sick. My former b-in-law (a lovely person) told me one day that he thought he was insane. I respected his opinion. Maybe you could have understood a lot more about your mother - but I don't think it would have made it any th easier for you - unless you also had a counselor to help you. I'm amazed that you stuck out your education, & can now fiish your Degree (once you are well enough. Your story of debts is sadly an all too common one. I was trying to get my kids to save for the last 18 months -or at least keep out of Dept - but I know it's dreadful if you have to have Surgery. My elder daughter (who's also Manic-depressive, is just not good at saving money - & when she does build up a household of furniture, she becomes very ill - reads the Book of Relevations (not my favorite reading) and develops the delusion that everything in the place is evil. She did this in April & was hospitalized a month: lives in a tough block of flats - so squatters moved into her place (ground floor - window broken) & ran up a telephone bill of over $700. Fortunately, there's a charity to help with situations like this! I never know when she's going to "go off" Last year I went up - & after 3 days she ordered me out of the place - seriously. I walk with a stick. Left my big suitcase, but took old laptop (4kg. weight) & walked over 1 mile to the Police Station - ws there 2 hrs. - then they took me to the Youth Hostels (oldest visitor ever) - met some lovely women - 1 tld me her mother does that sort of thing when she mentions going away, as she was - and it had taken her 41 years to stop feeling guilty about it. I feel positive that you could not really have helped your Mum, if you had stayed, without a support Group of Social Workers behind you.I hope you don't feel badly about that! Do hope you get better quickly, and that soon you will be pain free. Best wishes, JaneD.

  • Moment of Peace

    JaneD (12/12/08)

Hello there my dear young woman, Seems I missed one of your e-mails! - probably something on the stove was boiling over! (Yes, I do it often!). I'd love to be your best friend - at least until your college friend returns - then I shall be your No.2 friend. Hope you are recovering - if I'm not mistaken, you just had surgery? - sorry, byt I have a woeful memory: due to stroke. Take care & take it easy now, Fond regards janeD.
