Whether I was feeling down, feeling lazy, or even just bored, food was the solution. Throughout my school years I've heard all the fat jokes. I still remember the one time that my 2nd grade teacher made fun of my fat head. She said there is more fat in there than brains when I wasn't paying attention in class. I also remember how other guys used to pinch my nipples in the locker-room and make fun of how I had breasts. I reached 225 pounds by the time I was 19 years old. And by this point I was sick of being overweight. I had very low self-esteem, always felt like something was wrong with me, and just couldn't take it anymore. So I started reading and learning everything I can. I read all kinds of books. I read self help, personal development, and diet books. I was able to drop 25 pounds over a year. However I returned to my overeating when I was trying to drop down to 175 pounds. I would yo-yo diet, go through periods of extreme dieting, followed by full days of binging. And I went through that for another 2 years. So I made the commitment to get my overeating handled no matter what. I found out that most of my overeating is often a way to deal with negative emotions. In other words it's emotional eating. Here are some helpful tips that helped me deal with my emotional eating: http://www.eliminateemotionaleating.info
