I am a 45 year old mother of 2 daughters, married for 10+ years. Committed conflicted thinking christian; member of Grace Presbyterian Church (www.gracewired.org). Diagnosed with chronic Lyme Disease, CFIDS & fibromyalgia in 1994. Gave up Oracle design and technical writing career after 20 years. Try to maintain interests in crafts, art, reading, personal growth, music and health. Illness takes its toll physically, emotionally and on close family members and relationships. Want to be optimistic & healthy rather than sick and tired! Still trying to adjust to radically different future - physically, mentally, financially.

Raising my daughters to be strong, independent, healthy, self-supporting, intelligent and beautiful Christian women. Art, watercolor, mixed-media, crafts, counted cross-stitch (I make PC-based patterns), fossils, amber, health, movies, books, science-fiction, personal growth & development, spiritual growth & education, decorating and more. Consider my health to be my responsibility and doctors my partners in diagnosing, treating and preventing illness and disease. I try to read a lot about bodies, health, immune systems, treatments and medications. Being a skeptic by nature, finding legitimate trusted resources can be a challenge.

White lights are healing lights, yes...but I can't meditate for some reason. I keep on trying but just can't get there! Slowly but surely am seeing some improvements, and I hang on to those memories for the herx days. Wouldn't it be nice if we could just go somewhere, be put in a coma and woken up when this was all over, LOL! Have a great one.
you will be ok I promise. xo Katherine
Some sunshine and a hug for you! I hope and pray you are feeling some improvements. The Abx are so tough to be on, however I am sending healing hugs and white lights your way.
Thank You XOXO Katherine

Diagnosed with chronic Lyme Disease in 2000; contracted in 1994 while living in Hilton Head. Treated by Dr. Joseph Jemsek in Huntersville, NC - after problems with NC Board & insurance companies - he's relocated to Fort Mill, SC.
Diagnosed with CFIDS in 1998 while pregnant with my youngest. Had non-stop migraines and bone-crushing fatique. Literally could not get off the sofa (or bed). Definitely better now (after 10 years) - somewhat more energy but still significant fatigue, body aches & pains, depression. Never found any treatment that made any difference. Did take Lexapro for many years, transitioning back to Prozac now.
Diagnosed in 1995. Very painful. Have used narcotics from pain management doctor for several years now which is the only thing that has helped.
Started experiencing severe 2 week bouts with vertigo, dizziness, vomiting & gastrointestinal issues. Intermittent. Preceded by tinnitus. Very little hearing loss but diagnosed as some variation of Menieres. Seems somewhat better now (after 10+years) the tinnitus is mild and not constant. Often comes with nausea. Would really like to have a more definitive diagnosis.
Migraines developed at age 13 and have continued, waxing and waning in frequency & severity. Currently 45 years old and using various triptans. Botox works great and helps tremendously.
Chronic pain has been my companion for almost 10 years. I have some spinal stenosis, bone spurs and arthritis. Changes & damage in upper vertebrae due to car accident. I have mild scoliosis and some twisting of the spine at the lower back. I love my pain doctor and we've worked a long time to get the pain relief and flexibility I have now.
Mother of 2 diagnosed with high cholesterol (300!) in 2008 at age of 45. Slightly overweight and borderline glucose levels. Concerned about stroke risk (history of migraines) and heart health (family history of heart attacks). Starting Lipitor...
Diagnosed with depression 25 years ago. Tried various antidepressants and therapy on and off. Never found therapy useful but willing to try again if I can figure out what type would be useful. Really think it is biochemical.
After being diagnosed and treated for chronic Lyme Disease in 2000, I had to stop working. Cutting our income in half while expenses remain the same has been an ongoing challenge. Paying for medical and hospital bills has created a huge debt level that I'm uncomfortable with... working on paying it off.
Filed paternity suit before she was born and suit was settled when she was almost 2. Support has been consistent though substantially less than what his income or possessions would indicate. Visitation has been sporadic. He missed almost a year and a half when she was in elementary school. Began visiting when he was engaged and subsequently married. Visitation stopped during his divorce. Due to my daughter's anger and frustration, she does not want to see him and he has acquiesced to this.
