I am a 38 year old female, married with 2 sons. I am blessed to say that I am a stay at home mom. Worked for the government for 13 years as an Accountant and decided to resign after the birth of my last child. I take each day as it comes and keep a positive attitude (though at times with MG can be difficult to do).

Acout 3 months ago I was diagnosed with MG. I started with the droopy eye lid and felt tired all the time. My family doctor referred me to an Opthamologist for the eye problem. She then referred me to a Neurologist. I was finally told that I had Ocular MG. I have been on Mestinon for a while now and does not seem to be working. Tomorrow I will be starting IVIG for 5 days at a high dose. Neurologist hopes this treatment will put me in remission. After reading some of the blogs, sounds like a number of people have not had much success with this treatment. I am afraid and really do not know what to expect. I am grateful to all who have shared their story.
