I found out last week that I have herpes.I'm looking for any advice on how to not look at yourself as damaged goods, effective treatments and anything that will lessen the pain during outbreaks.

Treatments

L-Lysine Somewhat Helpful

I usually got too impatient with outbreaks and jumped to Valtrex. Didn't notice much improvement preventing or diminishing outbreaks when I used it.

Valtrex Working / Worked

At first I still had minor outbreaks, but an increased dosage has worked perfectly. Only extremely stressful situations combined with too little sleep have an affect on me anymore.

Zovirax Working / Worked
