Just call me Grandma Gardener.I like to create gardens for my grandchildren. Next to that, I'm an animal activist...lov'em all. Got a new heart valve, bypasses, etc. this year so they say I'm good to go for another 15 years. WOW!! God must have plans for me. Appreciate music - used to play piano but can't "span" my fingers out anymore because of my old friend, "Arthur" I MISS PLAYING! Have a pup named Maeve...love of my life. I ALSO LOVE DS AND ALL OF YOU! What a great support system.

Happy baking friday! :) good afternoon angel Nancy, Maeve, and family! :) we are so very happy, and delighted that you all are enjoying the nice cool weather, and your beautiful and lovely garden. :) it's such a wonderful time of the year. :) lots of great things going on, and many very special memories being made. :) You are so very wonderfully sweet. :) The your new hibiscus flower blossom, sounds so very beautiful! :) sweet gifts from beautiful and peaceful nature. :) i found a mystery flower blossom in our garden today. :) our gladiolas are blossoming too. :) my family and i thank you so very much, for all of your beautifully heart warming comments, warm well wishes, and hugs. :) We are so very happy and delighted, that you enjoyed viewing my pictures. :) We are enjoying the 2009 gardening season, so very much! :) it's so very nice, and very special, celebrating the season with eachother. :) Hi Maeve! :) Thank you and momma Nancy, so very much. :) Nancy, you all are so very wonderfully nice, and sweet. :) be sure to stay safe, it looks like a very stormy day tomorrow, with thunderstorms, and tropical storm danny coming very close to the northeast. Close Pet Bereavement
I just lost my best friend, my child, my guardian angel....all in one. I got Dixie when she was 2. Today she was put down at the age of 17...very old for a standard poodle. She was an angel here on earth. She was a therapy dog for Altzheimer and parkinson patients and she loved everyone.
Close Heart Attack
I had open heart surgery (double bypass and new Aortic valve)in February. I have a 15 year bovine valve now and feel like a "new woman".
Treatments
- Aspirin Working / Worked
- Aspirin, lopressor, lipitor, plavix and hydrochlorot...all working together to make a "new me"!
- Bypass Surgery (Coronary) Working / Worked
- Double bypass, along with new Aortic valve
Open Arthritis
I have osteoarthritis - degenerative disc disease & scoliosis - I also have "Arthur" in my hands and knnees.
Open Asthma
Type: Adult AsthmaI have mild asthma and use Albuterol as my inhaler when necessary.
Treatments
Open Back Pain
Have something called spondylolistheses (what?)plus mild scoliosis. In other words...OUCH!! my back hurts! Going to rehab for massage and ultrasound, plus exercises at home.

- Physical Therapy Too Soon to Tell
- I'm still in pain- but that's because I'm afraid to take any pain medication because of possible side effects. DUMB...I know.
- Stretching Working / Worked
- Makes it easier to get up if I stretch first.
Open Senior Health & Aging
Type: Aches & PainsI'm 75, have a new Aortic valve that'll last til I'm 90 unless something else gets me first. I look forward to 15 years of positive endeavors - no matter what physical ailments abound!

Open Agoraphobia & Social Anxiety
I've been agoraphobic for 35 years now. It does get better, though. I couldn't leave the house at all the first year. Now, though I hate traveling, I can drive an hour's distance away. That anxiety never leaves you though. It just gets duller.
