Misleading title. . .
The exterior of our townhouse is being painted this week. Most of the windows have been covered up so we can't open windows and enjoy the mountain air. The spouse was griping about that and saying too bad we didn't know ahead of time so we could have planned a trip. I just looked at him and said lets get in the car and go someplace.
So tomorrow we're going to drive to Gunnison, Colorado. We'll go to Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park one day or two. Another day, we'll go to Crested Butte. I have no idea what is there, but I guess we'll see. On the map we've found a dirt road that will allow us to go home on Friday a different way.
I'm so excited about this. I love the spontaneity. It's what I've wanted to be able to do for a while now. And this was my idea!

Good for you! Judd was at the Black Canyon and Crested Butte within the last couple years. I was there as a small child. Enjoy yourselves! That's what retirement is for.
