Had a lovely day yesterday. We met some friends at Vail, took the gondola up to the top of the mountain and ate lunch at the restaurant there.
Our friends went through a similar experience with a house they owned. They call that one "Mold Manor". They did what we did and are doing -- sold the house for peanuts and sued the builder. It's good to be able to talk to people who really understand what it's like to go through this. It's refreshing to see that they have survived their ordeal and that they are happy now.
For us, we have gone through the worst part of dealing with our dog house -- selling and moving out of it. It is definitely getting better.
Walking around the mountain yesterday and looking at all of the beauty around us made me realize how truly lucky and how blessed we are to live where we do. While the experience with the house could have been financially devastating to some, we will survive.
I still get the jitters and get anxious when I think about this. It's like a death in the family and things will get better with the passage of time. I must keep this in perspective.

Dog house meets mold manor. Misery loves company, but I'm glad it at least brings common ground for you four.
