I have not been on this site in months, due to how well my daughter has been doing; she is now 11, and really keeping her OCD to a minimum. I think of you often, and of all the good and valid advise that gave; I see that you are still at it! How has your OCD been? I don't see recent journaling, so I do hope that you are feeling better. You really made a difference, just thought that I would let you know. Elle

Open Depression
I suffer from depression as a side effect of my OCD.
Treatments
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Too Soon to Tell
- just started
- Effexor Working / Worked
- good antidepressant but shifting to Lexapro for OCD. Only side affect for me was drowsiness
- Lexapro Too Soon to Tell
- Just starting
Open TMJ
I grind my teeth at night and during the day. Currently I am on medication that may increase tooth grinding as a side effect.
Open Tinnitus
I suffer from OCD and GAD. I am currently suffering from tinnitus symptoms and am not sure how to treat them.
Open Anxiety
I have been suffering from anxiety related disorder for about 20 years. I suffer equally from OCD and Generalized Anxiety Disorder. I have had specialized treatment for OCD and am having treatment for GAD right now.
Treatments
- Breathing Exercises Working / Worked
- Relaxation works well for me, sometimes it puts me to sleep when I don't want to though. I do an exercise of deep abdominal breathing when anxiety symptoms first appear.
- BuSpar Working / Worked
- I am taking this as an adjunct to Lexapro to deal with tooth grinding
- Klonopin Working / Worked
- it does a good job of reducing anxiety related symptoms.
- Lexapro Working / Worked
- It works in lifting depression and reducing obsessions but it has sexual side effects form me in doses 15mg and higher..
- Meditation Working / Worked
- I have a real hard time meditating due to my mind racing. I do much better with guided relaxation tapes.
