hello everybody it's me smokefreemom it's been 31 days since i quit smoking. i had to edit my quit smoking goal because it said i was quit a lot longer than 31 days. it said 5 months i'm only 1 month and one day quit. i am doing very good with quit with all my friends support here on dailystrength.org i'm making alot of progress i noticed things taste better, smell better, and i don't smell like cigarette smoke the way i used to when i was smoking. a couple of times i have been offered cigarettes but i quickly turn them down. i live in a group home with 7 other people and one guy here i told him twice already that i quit but when i came home on 6/23/08 on a monday he offered me a cigarette i quickly turned him down reminding him that i don't smoke anymore that i quit i was told not to take it personal that he was only trying to be nice or maybe he forgot that i quit because he always saw me smoking. but other than that things are going well with the chantix i haven't noticed any real problems with it except when i first started taking it i had mild nausea but it went away i don't have any real bad issuses with it psychologically i also get support online from the makers of chantix. the company's name is pfizer the program is called getquit it works really well they email or phone call you everyday at your convience with support and update your progress their web address is www.getquit.com try them out even if your not on chantix i'm sure their support will help you. well that's all for now i will keep you all posted on how i'm doing i also like to know how others like me are doing with their quits as well. don't give up! you can do it! it is possible. oh by the way there is also a online quit smoking group that i joined onlined that might be of interest to you all it's called voicesofnicotinerecovery you can join them by going to yahoo groups or through paltalk you can use your microphone to chat with others on this quit smoking site they are very friendly. give them a try i'm sure you will like them. well that's all for now i will be in touch
