I'm back Mood
Wednesday, April 9, 2008 | A General Update story

Hi everyone,

I haven't been on DS for a long time.  I'm doing well today, because work is going well today.  I've been going through a lot of ups and downs since being on.  Lately, I've been frustrated at work.  Sometimes, things that I've been working on don't seem to accomplish anything.  And sometimes when work gets really busy I get stressed out.  About a month ago that happened, and I told my manager about it.  My manager is two levels above me.  One level above me is my supervisor.  When I told him about feeling stressed out, he told me to talk to my manager.  My manager said I should think about whether the role I'm in is right for me, which stressed me more.  I decided it is because I like it better than any of the other roles I've been in at my current company.  I told my manager and he was OK with it, which made me feel better.  But, I still get very frustrated sometimes, and the frustration at work stays with me when I go home.

I've also been feeling bad because I'm taking a class at the closest State University to me and it's frustrating me.  The subject is atheism.  I'm a devoted Christian, but I want to learn more about atheism.  Mostly, I was taking the class to meet people.  I got to know one classmate a little bit.  I asked her out, but she told me she just wants to be friends.  She told me she'd help me shop for a car, but wouldn't return my calls to arrange a time.  I've had a hard time getting to know anyone else in my class very well.

I also have been having trouble disciplining my son.  The development of his speech is delayed, and my ex and I take him to speech therapy.  He gets homework that I try to work on for 15 minutes each day I have him.  Sometimes, he won't do his homework.  I tried using games, which helps a lot.  But, he has a favorite game, and when I tried to get him to do another game, he wouldn't.

My son had speech therapy for a while too. It's frustrating with little ones. We couldn't understand a lot of what he said until Kindergarten, but it did get better.

I'm really glad that you're back. I've been wondering how you are. (((HUGS)))
