    I have Bipolar 1 Disorder, OCD, GAD and an Eating Disorder and am on SSD. I love music, biking and art and dogs. I have been married to a great understanding guy for 20 years. We have no children because of my illness. Nobody I know really understands the struggles I go thru everyday.

    Interests

    Enjoy hiking, walking on the beach and long drives with our 2 dogs, riding my bike and visiting with my niece and nephew.

      I had a good day at work..but it really does look like my store will be closeing it's doors pretty soon,we're all kinda in shock at work..we read it in the newspaper..management never told us a thing! Anyway,hope you had a good day..I'm off to see a movie! HUGS dd

      I was dxd. at about 28 to 30 years old. Bipolar I.

      Treatments

      Abilify Working / Worked
      This med. was a Godsend to me. I'm on the max. 30 mg. and have never felt as "normal" even when I was a child.
      Depakote Not Working
      Made me gain weight, lose my hair and lost my sex drive.
      Fish Oil Working / Worked
      Definitely working.
      Geodon Not Working
      Did absolutely nothing for my moods and caused me not to sleep at all.
      Lamictal Not Working
      Couldn't concentrate and I got a rash. Had to stop it.
      Seroquel Working / Worked
      This med. helped with my bipolar and also allowed me to sleep at night. However, didn't like the side effects.
      Topamax Working / Worked
      Lost too much weight. I am far from overweight and this made me get skeletal looking.
      Wellbutrin Not Working
      Caused me to not sleep for nights at a time. Had to go off of it.
