About Me
I am single, no children, have a wonderful boyfriend who I relocated from Boston for, and will be turning 46 this July. Oh, and I can't forget my cat who we found in Florida when he was three months old. We brought him to a vet and bought him an $80.00 airline ticket to his new home...with us. I have scoliosis and rosacea to deal with but feel very grateful that is all my health problems.

Aber, I have had Rosacea for the last ten years. I started getting really bad when I was starting menopause. I have been on, and used everything. The moisture cream I have been using is Moisture surge by clinique. It has worked for me for the last five years. Well, better than anything else I have tried. I also get laser done by a MD in Beverly Hills. (When I have a lot of extra cash.) I see an MD by the name of Dr Bitter. This is my regimen. I first wash my face with a very mild soap. I order form a MD in San Fran. I then apply my merto cream. Top that with my moisture surge followed by another product I use called Zinco. Its a sun screen spf 20. and its made with zinc oxide so it really will calm my skin down. I know its all about watching everything we do...From eating, and drinking the right things to staying out of the sun. Good luck. By the way I order the zinco from www.lindasy.com. Its been a god send for me...lynnthree

Support Groups
Close Rosacea
I have had rosacea for about eight years now. I have a good handle on the side effects such as wind, sun, heat, cold, spicy foods, etc. but I joined this support group for just that; support.
Treatments
- Doxycycline Working / Worked
- Doxycycline is a God-send. I take 100 mg once a day and it has calmed by rosacea down dramatically. I notice the days if I forget to take it and my face is much more irritated. It is that quick of a drug for it to react when not using it daily. No side effects whatsoever. If not on this, get it into your system ASAP.
- MetroGel Working / Worked
- This too is a God-send of a miracle drug. I am hoping scientists find other ways to treat Rosacea because my PPO dropped this and I had to get special consideration to keep using Metrogol from my dermatologist. I LOVE THIS GEL! No side effects whatsoever. If not using this get a RX ASAP.
- Noritate Not Working
- Not helpful one iota and I actually had a reaction to it stinging my face. Hated it and I was very, very uncomfortable. I wonder if this worked for anyone else.
Close Back Pain
Treatments
- Heat Working / Worked
- Heat feels fabulous on my lower back and it definitely soothes is.
- Ibuprofen Working / Worked
- This takes the edge off when I have back pain.
- Physical Therapy Working / Worked
- OMG! The first physical therapist I went to that my primary care physician recommended was a Godsend. I am forever thankful to him and when I am in his neighborhood, I drop in and let him know how grateful I am!
- Stretching Working / Worked
- Absolutely works! Get up and move around even though your back hurts. You need to do this EVERY DAY!
