Diagnosed with seronegative RA in 2001, but lived in remission until September, 2005, when RA hit hard. Started with shoulders, then moved quickly through all other joints. I'm still not settled on a therapy, but I'm currently trying Rituxan.

I like to hike, cook, garden, take photographs, read, watch movies, commune with friends, laugh, play, travel, then do it all again.

Hi Doug, I know it's been quite a while since I've been on. Thanks for asking about my daughter and nephews. Things have been good. My daughter is in her last year of school and has received early acceptance letters to UC Davis, UC Irvine, UC Santa Barbara and a prospect letter to UC San Diego. Her heart is set on UC Berkeley or UCLA, but we'll see what March brings. My nephews are doing great they are 13 now (WOW). Drew has grown a lot (YAY) and is doing well with his new kidney and we can't be any happier. As for me, I've had a rough few months. I was plugging right along with Humira and Arava...and BAM got a huge swollen lymph node in my neck that wouldn't go away. So between CT Scans/blood work and Oncologist visits....I currently have a clean bill of health (well as far as Lymphoma goes)... I will need to repeat the CT Scan in 6 mos. because I have another swollen lymph node in my sternum that is borderline abnormal. With all the CT Scans they found a tumor in one of my breasts (Ugh) I had 3 core biopsies last week (PAINFUL...YIKE) and went for results two days ago. All is well and they won't take it out, will repeat all that stuff in 6 months too...The never ending saga....So needless to say the doc won't put me back on Humira...I know that you've had some experience (I think) with Rituxan???? I know I've rambled. How the heck are you??? and Yours and what's new with you??? anymore hikes of super fun and beautiful places??? Miss chatting with you....
