I am 57 and for 3 yrs I have one spot in middle of my back that hurts all the time. Finally had an epidural Yesterday. So far don't no if it helped or not. Keeping my fingers crossed. They say it is degenerative bone or disc???? Just seen another Dr. today 11-21-08 going to get another epidural Tues. b-4 Thanksgiving hoping it will help

Hello Pat hope that you are doing okay. Sorry to hear that your husband is having tripebipass is it of the heart. My father has had heart trouble for 12 yrs and has a pacemaker/dephibillator in his chest. He had also a quadrople bipass a few yrs ago. I shall pray for you and your husband. Take it one day at a time is all I can say. Sincerely a new friend Mary

Hi Pat! I have been dealing with back pain for about 30 years. At first they said I was too young to have back pain so it went untreated for years. Because no one would listen to me, I have a really bad spine. I've had back surgery, physical therapy, epidurals up the ying yang, drugs and can honestly say that you need a really great doc to give you an epidural. I've had so many of them I can't count. I had my last one a little over a week ago and it's the first time it actually helped. This doc was fantastic! It didn't hurt much (most of them are horrible) and he helped me feel at ease. Hang in there! Carol PS - Glad you see we're the same age!

Am at a loss of what to do I work at two jobs. and sometimes can't stand the painBeen having cortisone shots for 2 yrs. No help. As I said had a epidural yesterday. any advice on what to do Phyllis
