Close Cushing's Syndrome
I was on steroids for my Crohns disease for almost 3 yeasr and the beginning of 2008 I started gaining weight at a rate of 3lbs a week. I developed purple stretch marks and hair growth. I webmd my symptoms and came up with my own diagnosis b4 seeing an Endocronoligist who confirmed I have Cushings. I'm 50-55lbs heavier and struggling to make it thru. I'm off the steroids now 3 weeks.
Close Crohn's Disease & Ulcerative Colitis
I was diagnosed with Crohn's in April 2000.Right now and actually for the last few years things have been pretty well controlled with the exception of some minor flare ups.
Treatments
- Asacol Working / Worked
- Working I guess
- Entocort Working / Worked
- Had to wean off because I developed Cushings Syndrome as a result of being on for so long. But it worked well.
- Flagyl Somewhat Helpful
- Have tried during flare ups, worked ok.
- Medrol Somewhat Helpful
- Temporarily used during flare up
- Prednisone Working / Worked
- Used temporarily to get me thru flare ups.
- Probiotics Somewhat Helpful
- Acidophilus was ok
- Remicade Working / Worked
- Actually taking for Ankylosing Spondylitis but helps with my Crohns because I am on a higher dose than used for Crohns. Experience fatigue,headaches, easily bruised,sweating
Open Fibromyalgia
I was diagnosed about 2 years ago, still have a difficult time coping.

- Heat Somewhat Helpful
- Temporary relief
- Lyrica Somewhat Helpful
- I think my dose should be increased, I'm working on that now.
- Morphine Working / Worked
- MS-Contin, worked well, switched DR. so I am no longer on.
- TENS Somewhat Helpful
- Temporary relief
- Ultram Not Working
- Was not helpful with pain for me at all.
Open Ankylosing Spondylitis
I was diagnosed with Ankylosing Spondylitis which is a form of November 05. Since then it's been a struggle.
Treatments
- Humira Working / Worked
- I guess, I still have some pain and stiffnesss, buit my dr says it's working.
- Pain Management Clinic Somewhat Helpful
- Offered some minor pain relief but I had to go through to much to get it.
Open High Blood Pressure
I was diagnosed when I was pgernant with my son in 2004. After he was born it just got worse.
Treatments
- Avoid Certain Foods / Chemicals Somewhat Helpful
- sodium, fat
- Procardia XL Working / Worked
- Worked well until I developed tachycardia
Open Healthy Sex
I am a 30 year semi-happily married woman with 2 kids ages 1and 3. I have several medical conditions that make it more difficult for mt enjoy sex, or should I say forces me to be more creative to enjoy sex. But I still seem to have more of a sexual appetite than my husband.

Open Healthy Relationships
I've been married 5 years have 2 kids ages 1 and 3. There are some trust issues in my marriage because my husband doesn't have the best track record with me, no cheating but he has been disloyal in other ways. Right now we are at the point where we are rebuilding and restructuring our relationship. We are trying to let go of bad habits and past mistakes and looking forward to growing old together. as in any relationship, there are some hurdles along the way.

Open Step Families
I am the stepmom of 3 girls ages 12,13 and 19, all have different moms. I have two kids of my own ages 1 and 3. My husband seems incacpable of demanding I get the respect due me as an adult and actually following through .
