Hi. I am a 45-year old working with kids in an afterschool program. Great personality, pleasant attitude, but very self-conscious about the eczema in the corners of my mouth. I was born with eczema, and have always had hyperpigmentation around the mouth. The embarrassment is highlighted now because of the stress of a recent relocation. I pray to learn how not to let the stares bother me. On a good day, they don't. On a so-so or bad day, they are deflating. I'm not the type to obsess about appearance. Maybe I need to develop a thicker skin - no pun intended :0)

Hang in their, just be positive and I have learned to do things that make you happy to take the edge off of your itching. Thanks for e-mailing me and understanding my medical condition and hopefully we can keep chatting. Bye for now- Steve
