UPDATE Mood
Thursday, September 24, 2009 | A General Update story

  Hello all,
How is everyone doing? I hope you are doing well. I want to give you an update on Donna. We had worship and prayer with Donna on Tuesday and Wednesday evening. Tuesday evening was with our men's group, and Wednesday evening was with Bonnie Stover’s new home group. I felt Gods presence both times. I want to give you encouragement in this area. If this is something that you have never taken part in, try it out. God is waiting for you so he can use you.

Our men’s group meets the fourth Tuesday of each month to have a time of worship and prayer with Donna in the new activities room at her facility.  Also make a plan with your group. This can be an easy outreach with your group that you can easily do together. You will be blessed as you bless Donna. Just let me know and I can arrange to reserve the room. I feel God is moving in our midst. I do know that God is changing lives through the situation we are going through.
Donnas’ roommate shared with me about a time when her niece came to visit her. She told me that the niece had been in a car accident with her parents some years back. She was thrown from the vehicle into a field. She doesn’t remember anything that happened to her. The next thing that she remembers is that she woke up in the hospital. By Gods grace she had no permanent injuries. The parents and she are Christians. The girl’s parents told her for a number of years how blessed she was. They told her of things that could of happen, but didn’t. They just kept telling her that she was so blessed. The niece just did not grasp this concept. Donnas’ roommate (Kathy) told me that she just did not get it.

The niece came into the room for a visit. Kathy said her niece talked with Donna. She just watched Donna and engaged in conversation with her. Next Kathy said, her niece just started sobbing and crying her eyes out. She told Kathy she now sees Gods grace. She told Kathy that she now sees how blessed she was and still is. That could have been me. I could be in Donnas’ shoes. God waited for all these years to show her this.

So as you can see, our situation is helping others to see Gods love and compassion that he has for them. He has this love and compassion for all of us. He is waiting with open arms for you to let him in. Just say yes. It is so hard to see Gods plans sometimes when we are there in the middle of the pain. God will use you and your story. Give him the opportunity to use you. It doesn’t need to be a tragic situation for God to use you. He will and can use you for his glorious purpose. His plan and purpose is far greater than anything we can imagine.

Jeremiah 29:11-13
11 For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. 12 Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. 13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.
Please keep Donna in prayer. Pray with perseverance. Pray for Donna as if she was your loved one. Any words given please share. We can encourage each other with God’s word. Thank you so much for your listening ear.

In his grip,

Bill
